Web Sling

Heavy Duty, High Strength, Flexible Lifting Solution

Our Web Sling, constructed from durable polyester and available with nylon upon request, is a versatile and reliable lifting solution designed for a wide range of applications.

Ideal for hoisting, rigging, and material handling, the web sling provides excellent load distribution and flexibility, making it an ideal choice for lifting delicate or irregularly shaped loads without causing damage.

Known for its high strength-to-weight ratio and superior safety, this sling is perfect for industries requiring both performance and protection.

Key Features

Material

Constructed primarily from polyester, offering excellent strength, low elongation, and high resistance to abrasion and UV degradation. Nylon slings are also available upon request, providing higher elasticity and shock absorption for applications where these properties are beneficial.

Construction

Flat woven webbing provides an even, wide surface area that ensures a more secure lift and distributes weight evenly across the load, reducing wear and tear. The webbing’s flat construction helps prevent load damage by preventing point loads and localized pressure.

Width & Length

Available in various widths, typically ranging from 1” (25mm) to 12” (300mm), with customizable lengths to suit the specific lifting requirements. Slings can be tailored to fit various lifting configurations, from single-leg to multi-leg slings.

Load Capacity

The working load limit (WLL) varies depending on the width, length, and configuration of the sling. Polyester web slings typically have a WLL ranging from 0.5 tons to 100 tons. Nylon slings, while offering more stretch, are used in specific applications requiring more flexibility.

Safety Factor

Web slings feature a 5:1 safety factor, meaning the sling is rated to handle up to five times its WLL for added safety during lifting and rigging operations.

End Fittings

Web slings come with a range of end fittings, such as flat eyes, twisted eyes, or becket eyes, to meet your lifting needs. Custom fittings can be designed to fit particular rigging systems or lifting equipment.

Coating & Durability

Polyester webbing is resistant to abrasion, UV light, and many chemicals, making it ideal for use in tough environments. Nylon webbing offers high stretch and superior shock absorption, but it is more sensitive to UV exposure and moisture compared to polyester.

Temperature Range

Polyester web slings have a temperature tolerance range from -40°F (-40°C) to 194°F (90°C). Nylon slings have a higher tolerance to heat, typically up to 250°F (121°C), but both materials should be protected from prolonged exposure to extreme heat or chemicals.

Compliance

Manufactured to meet international safety standards, including OSHA, ASME B30.9, and EN 1492-1, ensuring that every sling meets or exceeds required performance and safety criteria. The slings are also labeled with clear load ratings and compliance markings.

Applications

Automotive and manufacturing industries

Benefits

Superior load distribution, reducing stress and preventing load damage.
Lightweight and flexible, easy to handle and deploy, even in tight spaces.
Non-marring and gentle on delicate loads, making it ideal for lifting fragile or irregularly shaped objects.
UV-resistant and highly durable, especially in polyester configurations.
Customizable in terms of length, width, and lifting configuration to meet unique needs.

Maintenance

Web slings should be regularly inspected for signs of wear, abrasion, cuts, or chemical damage. It is recommended that the sling be washed and cleaned regularly to maintain its strength, especially when used in environments where the sling may come into contact with dirt, chemicals, or other harsh substances. Slings should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, and never exposed to prolonged periods of moisture.
